I know this is more of a resume but I had to post this. I love reading Mashable every day, keeping me up to date with social media trends, ideas and about companies that are utilizing it (or not) to their advantage.
I am VERY fortunate that I get a platform like the Michigan Daily to write for. I’m currently a blogger for the paper (a student run newspaper at the University of Michigan) and I get to write opinion blogs on…well…whatever I want! What I try to aim for is to influence people. And I’ve written about a couple of things but this is what I’m most passionate about:
Convincing people to join the TWITTER revolution.
Through this, you’ll be able to see my passion for it. I absolutely love everything about Twitter and honestly believe it is one of the most amazing resources we have these days.
Here are some of my personal social media links. Feel free to browse. What you’ll find is that I not only am on a diverse amount of outlets…but I actually use them. Definitely some more than others but I pride myself in being able to use all of these and rather frequently. The only one I have privacy settings on is my Facebook (as everyone should have privacy settings on their Facebook…) but I’m very proud of my Timeline look. Check it out!
Klout “helps you measure and leverage” your social media influence. I began using Klout just to figure out where I stood when it came to my presence on Social Media. It’s fun to keep track of too! Currently, my Klout score is over 60 and Klout believes I am a Broadcaster, telling me:
You broadcast great content that spreads like wildfire. You are an essential information source in your industry. You have a large and diverse audience that values your content.

Currently, I am a sophomore in the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan pursuing a BBA with a special interest in marketing. I consider myself as an outgoing, very spirited, team-oriented and I put my heart into everything I do.
Right now, I serve as the Vice President of Membership Development for Collegiate DECA, a Sophomore Representative on BBA Council and am a member in BBA Marketing Club. As the Vice President of Membership Development for Collegiate DECA, I have marketed the club so that membership has increased by 300% as well as putting on fun social gatherings. And as a Sophomore Representative on BBA Council, I am a direct voice from my class to administration and help administrators by advising them on current issues our class is facing and give them suggestions on how to improve.
I am passionate about marketing, the University of Michigan and sports, so I am lucky enough to have a Sports Marketing Internship with one of the most high-profile athletic departments: the University of Michigan’s. There, I am able to work with 30 other interns to implement Michigan Athletics marketing plans and promotions by making the fan experience optimal, selling merchandise and by using customer relation skills with spectators. It is by far the greatest experience I’ve had on campus and have been lucky to make the most of this experience by going above and beyond my normal intern duties. For example, I have helped pull of a syncronized card stunt done by 70,000 people at Michigan Stadium as well as made graphics for Yost Ice Arena and Crisler Center that are seen by thousands of fans each game.
I also am a proud blogger for the Michigan Daily, the University of Michigan’s student-led newspaper. I am able to publish blog posts of at least 400 words to the online Michigan Daily in the opinions blog called “The Podium.” Although I have never aspired to be a journalist, I look at it as a fantastic channel to influence people with my opinions or even cause debates which is welcome as well! This position has challenged me to make valid arguments to defend my stances and I absolutely love being able to write about topics that interest me.
When it comes to what my goals are, I am always, always, looking to learn. In the short term, I would like to get a job in an organization where I can grow and develop, while making strong contributions. I want to soak in as much as I can and join a team where I can add value to the projects given to me, and collaborate with other bright minds.
And in the future, I’d say my goal is honestly just to be in a challenging positions that keeps me thinking and on my toes, but have it be something I love waking up and doing. I want to be able to use the talent I have and the experience I gain to deliver it into something I’m passionate for.
